Tenerife

Tenerife, the largest of Spain's Canary Islands, is well populated with tourists from Europe, though it is relatively unknown to visitors coming from across the Atlantic. This island has some of the best scenery in insular Spain. There are sights both in Tenerife's green inland areas and under the waves off its shores. The vibrant culture and party atmosphere have been attracting tourists from the mainland for a long time.
Playa de las Americas, on the south part of the island, is home not only to the best weather on the island, but is also "party central." nightclubs and bars are open 24 hours, and sandy beaches offer a chance to socialize as well as relax.
Tenerife has a laid-back feel typical in Spain. The pace of local life is refreshingly slow. The northern parts of the island are best for experiencing local culture and atmosphere.
Aside being a beach destination, there are ample opportunities to SCUBA dive in the warm waters off the coast. It is also possible to hire a car and search for inland sights of this green island. Tenerife is a perfect place to party, relax, and sightsee for a few days or a few weeks.
