Sydney: An Easygoing Place to Play
Author: admin

Thanks to the guy who designed the Sydney Opera House, Sydney has one of the most recognizable harbors in the world. Over the past decade, travelers have come to appreciate the laid-back yet cosmopolitan vibe of Australia's biggest city.
Sydney offers plenty of sights and activities. Hipsters will be at home in Darlinghurst or Newtown, while Rock and Circular Quay offer trademark Aussie pubs, shopping, and a sublime view of the harbor.
Sydney has an international flair. Virtually every Asian nationality is represented in the city. Neighborhoods like Chinatown and Cabramatta offer authentic cuisine and colorful culture.
Perhaps the best thing about Sydney is the outdoor lifestyle enjoyed by residents. Well-known Bondi Beach is always a happening place, and the amount of cafes and promenades means you can take full advantage of a sunny day.
The problem for most would-be visitors is the price of airfare. No matter where you are, Australia is a long way away. Flights are not cheap, but package deals are sometimes available.

I’m not sure I’d call Sydney a “hidden” travel gem, but now that I think about it very few folks I know have made it down to Australia. It really is a long trip (I know I’m not crazy about flying myself). I do hope to see it one day, perhaps via a cruise that does Australia and New Zealand. I think I’d want to stay at least a couple weeks if I were to fly that far.
