Southern California Family Vacations

I'm a little old these days for surfing. But a Southern California family vacations would be nice.

It's early spring where I live. That means the mercury sometimes breaks 70F (21C) during the week and drops into the low 40's (6C or 7C) most nights. We still have a few good hard frosts left...

What I'd like is a few days (or maybe a week) on a nice beach in Southern California. Hamburgers, tanning oil, a couple of moonlit walks on the beach. The kids can look for shells at low tide and I can watch the surfer dudes walking the nose of their board when they catch good waves.

I suppose I'm going to have to go looking for tickets. I can fly into LAX and we can rent a car.

Of course, Southern Cal has more than nice beaches. There's Hollywood, Disneyland, and a few nice parks around the area as well. The grandkids will like it.
