Hidden Gems

I've snorkeled The neighboring islands of St. Thomas and St. Croix and I can attest to the area's underwater beauty. This piece by AquaTerraSky gives you a good idea of the region's offerings.
St. John has some incredible natural beauty above water, as well. The short ferry ride to St. Thomas allows you to split your time between the more isolated wonder and enchantment St. John's beaches and the shopping and nightlife of Charlotte Amalie - the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Of course, you don't have to actually stay on St. John. St. Thomas' Sapphire Beach, near the ferry to St. John, is a great place to stay.
