Singapore Airlines Earns #1

. I wrote Singapore Airlines up a couple weeks ago only to have them be awarded the World Airline Award today. What does that mean? Well, nothing, really. It means that Singapore Airlines is good, but I'm sure a fair amount of nit-picking went in to choosing them over, say, Quantas or Thai Airways, both of which arguably provide similar service and quality. I guess it is about the prestige of beating out the other guys. Winners of some of the other categories include Emirates (best entertainment) and Korean Air (best economy class). British Airways was named best trans-Atlantic carrier. In short, you probably can't go wrong by booking a flight with any of the companies that earn a mention in the annual awards. What will I choose for my next trip? I'll have to see which airline will be the first to make the Simpson Movie part of their in-flight entertainment. Permalink: Singapore Airlines Earns #1
