Those of you who have ventured under the waves know the dreamlike feeling of watching the underwater world moving all around you. Some people speak of scuba diving experiences with an almost spiritual reverence.
Unfortunately, diving is an expensive hobby. Sure, if you lived to dive you would have your own equipment and be able to venture out without a guide. But what about scuba neophytes?
A recent article by MSNBC and Budget Travel highlights a special deal that might make diving a reachable vacation goal. For well under on thousand dollars ($832) to be exact, would-be Jacques Cousteaus can choose any number of diving sites around Cayman Brac. This weeklong excursion is just one of the deals offered by a company called Caradonna Dive Adventures. The company's website lists other reasonably priced dive packages as well. It seems that the more people in your group, the cheaper the trip per person. It looks like a good option for families or couples.

We coudn't agree more with this article talking about scuba diving as a spiritual experience. The peace and tranquility of diving in this "other world" is something that has to be experienced to understand the true beauty. Also, diving can certainly be done on a budget and some of the cheapest vacations we have taken have been to exotic dive locations, though off the beaten path of the average tourist.
