Publicizing Your Travel Website – on Philoneist

Author: admin

You have just created a new website on travel. You've even got your own new domain name. Maybe the site is part of an agency. Maybe it's just good articles on destinations. Either way you're really looking forward to building some traffic and getting your site's name out there. But how do you publicize it in a way that gives people the details they need to establish a little trust?

One option is to enter your website's information at the philoneist, a wiki that tells users what and who is behind a domain name. Then with out much effort web surfers can find valuable information about your website.

With the influence of the Web growing, transparency has become a major concern on the Internet. The ability of consumers to find out just exactly who is behind a particular website has become important. And being able to find important facts about a web domain (like revenue, traffic patterns, and speed, and contact info) can be important, either for business reason or just to assess the credibility of the website. Why not give that information to your users yourself?

You can even use a screen capture image of the site at the philoneist so that people connect the information there more easily to your website. That way they know that the entry is really about your site.

And best of all, because the philoneist is a wiki, your customers or readers themselves can add information to the entry.

The philoneist is a great place to publish basic information on your website.

The wiki’s entries give you an overview of the destination, some pre-surfed links to explore, and a list of specific attractions you’d want to visit if you went there. And because they’re created by users (actual travelers instead of travel agents and hotel companies) you can feel more confident that you’re being pointed in the right direction as you make your travel plans.
