Bagdad Theater and Pub is exactly like it sounds. It is a movie their which serves beer and "pub GRUB
" to viewers. Some of Portland's micro-brews are quite excellent. The Delta Cafe, meanwhile, serves hearty food and offers lemonade in ball jars. VooDoo Doughnuts offers some of the strangest (and tastiest) doughnut concoctions west of the continental divide. Oh yeah, the shop also provides wedding services (complete and legal and includes coffee and doughnuts for 10).
The Kennedy School used to be a Portland area elementary School. Now it has been converted into a hotel, though details like the blackboard and teachers desk have been left in the rooms. This is a unique place, and the rooms are well appointed.
Portland is one of the most interesting cities on the Pacific Coast. It's pleasant atmosphere and hassle free streets make it one of the nicest as well.
