Hats, bananas, and the canal. Panama. Go ahead and add tourism to the list of Panama's attributes.
The narrow Central American nation is best known for the man-made waterway that revolutionized the shipping industry. The Panama Canal is has led to a boom in the nations economy. Many different cultures are represented in Panamas free trade zones.
Still, it is easy to find nature and tradition in Panama. Colonial churches, indigenous people, and colorful wildlife are accessible.
Panama seems to be waking up to the fact that it has so many ready-made tourist attractions. The tourist industry is growing by leaps and bounds.
