Motown’s Sleek Airport

I recently had a lay-over at Detroit's Metro Airport. I was surprised by what a nice place it was. I'll admit to never having been in the city. My pictures of the Motor City come from Elmore Leonard, rowdy detroit red wings fans, and that movie with Eminem. Beyond the airport, I still haven't been to Detroit. But that airport is damned nice. Anywhere in the main terminal can be reached in a couple of minutes via an elevated tram. If you are a moving walkway fan, they have those too.

Don't get me wrong, Detroit Metro is not up there with the world class airports. But among places serving mid-sized cities, it is one of the nicest and easiest to use.
