Mexico City is one of the most populated urban areas on the planet. It is both a brutal and beautiful place. As the video below shows, it is a place of grand buildings both old and new. The city has an almost European feel in certain places.
There is definitely a lot to see in Mexico City, but its reputation as being a dangerous place seems to be a turn off for some would-be tourists. This is, in some ways, a valid fear. The video shows none of Mexico City's blinding poverty. Still, any reasonable traveler would be able to avoid the worse dangers by taking simple precautions, as they would in any major city.
