Protesters in Thailand are holding rallies designed to topple the government - which makes me wonder if it's a bad time to fly into Bangkok.
The US State Department doesn't have any warnings or alerts up for Thailand at the moment. But Channel NewsAsia calls the situation "tense."

On Thursday, one protester was killed and 29 wounded when a rocket-propelled grenade exploded in the middle of the Bangkok protest site, while on Saturday eight people were injured by a similar bomb.If you're planning a visit to Bangkok anyway, stay away from government offices. It's not clear how long the unrest will last.
