Madison

The small, but happening, town of Madison lies in central Wisconsin. The city is both a state capital and the home of one of the nation's biggest universities. It sits on Interstate Highway 94, a mere two-and-a-half hours north a Chicago. Magazines and newspapers consistently rate Madison very highly when it comes to quality of life. The city is remarkably safe and there are many things to do.
State Street, which runs between the University campus and the State capital building is the center of all that Madison has to offer. There sheer amount of great places to eat, drink, and shop is impressive. The atmosphere of some of the coffee shops and eateries is unmatched anywhere in the Midwestern U.S.
There are several lakes in the Madison area. There are opportunities to play on or in the water, although simply sitting in a lakeside restaurant and enjoying the view is nice too.
Madison may be a small city, but it offers a unique experience to visitors.
