Hidden Gems

Las Vegas was built around The Strip. While the bright lights and glitzy casinos are still the main draw, many people seem to be seeking the quieter side of Sin City.
The city's urban sprawl has led to development in some of the suburban areas. What began with residents seeking somewhere a little quieter to live has become a full-scale development. L.V.'s suburbs now boast numerous restaurants, shopping centers, and golf courses.
Staying in one of these areas does not mean that one is far away from the action. Most suburbs are connected with the city via interstate freeways, meaning a 15 minute drive will get you within shouting distance of the blackjack table. Or, when the clanging of slot machines and bloody mary fountains have become too much, the golf course is equally near.
How much will these suburbs develop? That remains to be seen. But, for now, it's just nice to know that the option is out there.
