La Boqueria Market in Barcelona

La Boqueria Market in Barcelona
The impressive La Boqueria Market in Barcelona is perhaps the best indoor market in all of Europe. For me, the market was among my favorite sites in Barcelona. It's located on Las Ramblas, the popular boulevard with a pedestrian walkway in the center. The entrance to the market actually is set back from the sidewalk. There's so much to see on Las Ramblas, that unless you're looking, you can actually walk right by it. So a landmark to look for is actually -- if you can believe it -- a Dunkin Donuts. I actually stumbled on the market, because I was getting a "large" cup of American coffee at the donut shop. When I exited I saw the entrance to the market. The market is large with endless booths offering everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to king crabslinks and spices. Just make sure you set plenty of time aside for shopping the booths and having lunch at one of the Tapas Bars in the market.
