En Route

Is it about to get easier to go through security? If you have children, the answer could be yes! Airports in Denver and Salt Lake City are experimenting with security lanes specifically for families. For travelers who've had to pry off their kid's shoes and convince them to walk through the intimidating metal detector alone while a hundred impatient road warriors breathe down their necks, this might be just what the doctor ordered.
If the extra lane is found to speed up the average time a person spends at the security checkpoints, more airports may start adding family friendly feature.
At the other end of the spectrum is a line for frequent travelers who have little carry-on luggage and know exactly what is required to breeze through security quickly.
