Coping With U.S. Air Summer Travel
Filed in archive Travel News by Gloria Gamat on April 18, 2008
Summer in the U.S. is just around the corner. What with the recent woes on U.S. airline bankruptcies and flight cancellations, it could get worse this summer when people travel and flock to the busy and not-so-busy destinations. In or out of the U.S., you might still be affected. After all, summer time is travel time. Period.

The Canadian Press has some practical tips for least hassle in traveling this summer: take the train instead!

And then, (according to the said report) if taking the train is not a possibility, then be sure to pack light and do your homework carefully before going.

Pack light, know your options, consider buying travel insurance and, maybe, even take the train instead.

"Flight delays, schedule changes, cancelled flights, bankruptcies and mishandled baggage are pushing flyers' frustration to an all-time high," Michelle Doucette, content manager at IgoUgo.com, said in a news release declaring that "the summer of '08 just might be the summer of the train."

So, good luck and be safe on your travel. Most importantly, despite the possible mishaps, ENJOY yourself!

And I guess the above, does not only apply in the U.S. but anywhere in the world.
