Clint Eastwood’s Stomping Ground

Carmel is romantic, expensive, full of charm and Clint Eastwood's stomping ground. The one-square mile village has winding streets with an overabundance of art galleries, boutiques and loads of restaurants. Expendable cash is required for shopping here, but spending an afternoon window shopping is enjoyable, too.
My favorite place for lunch is Clint Eastwood's restaurant, the Hog's Breath Inn. Or stop in for an evening cocktail on the patio where outdoor brick fireplaces keep locals and tourists toasty. Inside, paintings of Eastwood along with many photos of the actor with friends cover the walls. I took this photo on the steps above the patio. A large mural is in the background and to the right is a cozy bar.
On my last visit, I was told by someone at the Carmel Chamber of Commerce that Clint and his partners sold the restaurant, but on occasion he'll pop in for a bite to eat.
