Bording Hopping to Mexico

OK. Juarez does have a bit of a wild west atmosphere. There is occasionally unrest, but no 'high-noon' shoot-outs. The central parts of town are quite safe during the day and in the evening. Taking general precautions, as one would when visiting any large city, should ensure a safe and fun stay.
Juarez has a more authentic feel than Tijuana, though it might not be as tourist friendly. It is easy enough to make your way around the central district, which is punctuated by stylish, old buildings, outdoor cafes, and even a Bullfighting
arena. There are several high-quality hotels in this area of Juarez.Remember that it will be a long wait as you wait at the border to re-enter the US. However, that's all part of the experience of hopping the border between El Paso and Juarez City.
