A Parisian Bookshop
Filed in archive on February 21, 2007
Tucked away on a tiny street in Paris' St-Germain-des-Pres District is a book-lover's paradise, the Village Voice Bookshop. St-Germain was a long known haunt for writers such as Jean-Paul Sarte and Ernest Hemingway. Brittany native, Odile Hellier, established the English-Anglo bookshop 24 years ago and it's where English-language bibliophiles go for peace and comfort. At first glance, books are stacked everywhere, including the floor.
Books on Chinese Philosophy, cinema, history, food, and poetry are among the 18,000 titles in this Left Bank Shop.

Crazy! I visited this bookshop while in Paris over two years ago. I loved it.
