A Maui Retreat

A Maui Retreat
The Plantation Inn is a quiet Maui retreat nestled in the center of Lahaina - a historic whaling town, and the original capital of Hawaii. This intimate, tropical inn is only two blocks from the ocean and just steps from bustling Front Street, which is Maui's main shopping hub. Rooms have private Lanais overlooking the palm-fringed courtyard and swimming pool. I actually took this photo from my Lanailinks.

The inn is also home to the award-winning Gerard's Restaurant; it's the only French chef-owned restaurant in all of Hawai'i. Even if you're not staying at the inn, make reservations for dinner, and request a table on the veranda.
